As Advertised and Requested.
We, the denizens of the City of Albuquerque and members of the Outlaws Triathlon Racing Team (including Misty, and Myles) hereby invite Mr. Bolder of Boulder to come and partake of the wonderfulness that is Albuquerque.
As I mentioned previously, Albuquerque has been named fittest city by Men's Fitness for 2007. Not Boulder, not Seattle. Alba-turkey. I did not make that up. It just works out.
I'm told we have the highest per-capita population of elite runners here in my home town, I didn't just make this up.
Of course, we have a wealth of activities for you to sample from - here's some that came to me off the top of my head:
You are welcome just come and hang with us on an Outlaws team ride. Or I'm sure I can find you a variety of groups to ride with, there are too many to name here. There were a bunch of elite cyclists hanging around here a couple weeks ago, they came through so fast I didn't get their names...
Of course you can come for a little training run with us up the La Luz trail. I'm sure I can find someone to take you up the trail.
Or you can come snowshoeing on Sandia Crest. It's real purdy up there! It may not be Boulder, but it's in our back yard.
We'd love to have you come and sample one of our races. We have a wide variety to choose from. May I recommend the Jay Benson triathlon on May 13th?
Anyway - before you start talking about how wonderful Boulder is, and how trashy everywhere else is, I invite you to come and see for yourself how cool we are.
And fun.
Sincerely,
DPR
p.s. - when she's not too busy having a baby, Paula Radcliffe has been known to live here for a few months of her year.
p.p.s. - do they have green chile in Boulder? Ohhhh...Have I got a treat for you!

well, if you ENGRAVED it and everything...
i will pencil in the Jay Benson on the 13th...
and, will assume all Outlaws will be toeing-the-line and representin'!
SWEET!
Oh yeah. we'll all be there...
and there will be celebrating afterward WITH green chile...
Oh yeah?? Well, my hometown was named America's fattest city by that same magazine. Then I lost 30 pounds and we dropped out of contention. Coincidence? I think not.
Sersly though. Thanks so much for your donation. Every dollar helps, and I appreciate the generous spirit behind everyone who donates. Let me know when I can return the favor.
Well, the north central NM Outlaws will be there, I think! We have Outlaws all over, even west Texas.
PS: We should head for Gardunos afterward, I think. It's mother's day, though. might be crowded.
Dude... you gotta go, if only for the green chili.
Arrrgh! The GREEN CHILI!
I am sure you have a very fit city, but why do I see all the outlaws racing in Phoenix for the races that count that is...Soma and Ironman
