Go on, I'll wait...
Are you back?
Heh. Pretty wild, eh?
21st Century Mom and I did this one last year and had a pretty unforgettable time. Between the salmon running and the wedding runners, the bands, the chaos, and the fantastic weather, it's the weirdest 12K ride ever.
This year we're hoping to get as many blogger athletes involved as we can. And we're hoping to maybe impose a theme on our group. We're not sure yet what to call the theme, but we think it'd be a blast if we all run in tutus.
All of us.
I have dibs on black.
I know that some out there are a little worried about the implications of wearing a fluffy skirt. I understand, tutus may not be quite your cup of tea, but we think it's totally in keeping with the spirit of the race.
Plus, with that many naked people around, you won't feel out of place with a little chiffon around your waist.
So what do you say? Would you like to join us on the 3rd Sunday in May? Registration will open Mid-January - but we don't think it's too early to start planning.

I'm there! Well actually I'm here which makes it really easy to be there if you catch my drift.
If we can do repeat colors I'll take black, too - otherwise red. I have to match with my teamkit singlet, you know!
good lord.
that does seem like a must-do race.
i call PINK. unless of course nytro wants pink, then i'll let her have it cuz i know she loves pink so much.
ok that just sounds like to much fun..
Cheers.
Rice.
I love San Francisco. I love tutus. I have always wanted to run this race. Brilliant idea!
Will you be wearing anything under your tutu or will you be trying to blend??
Sounds like I would so have a hard time not dropping my jaw on the ground....
That sounded naughty, SOOOO not how I meant it ..... LOL
I'm signed up for the Ogden marathon already. But 2009, I am so there. I look foward to a party the last weekend of work. that's right. The third sunday in may is always the LAST WEEKEND OF WORK. Also, that weekend in 2009 I will be celebrating the hs graduation of my last child. Seriously. 2009 will be my party year.
I'm thinking... I'm thinking!
Stay tuned...
i ran in a tutu once. dallas's (yes, i follow that style guide rule) turkey trot in 85. now i htink my rear would be wider than the tutu.
isay run in a red tutu with no leotard. so you have red around your pink bits. little running flowers. the running roses.
just watch out for those pollinating pistils.
Ooh...hard to remember, but I first saw this race over 40 years ago, when my girlfriends Dad turned to yoga and running to improve his health. It's a race I've always wanted to do--although it's certainly found it's own identity over time! We would love to join you, but will probably be on the other side of the country that very same weekend.
Still working out our event schedule for next year, but will definitely keep this in mind. Roadrash in a tutu? Gotta see it :)
did i miss out? did i? because i'll armwrestle momo for pink...
you know, kids, there's no need to fight. I'm there's at least two shades of pink.
Plus let's not forget the rest of the spectrum: the blues, the reds, the yellows, the browns...
I think our team name should be "tutu silly" or similar.
Are you organizing a Pink Army? We could be allied: the Black and the Pink Army! For the occasion I could join your Army with my new bionic leg and a black tutu.
....and thanks for visiting my blog! No problem for Scotland-Italy because I am also a member of the Tartan Army (by the time that Italy was not admitted at the 5Nations - now 6 - tournment).
Ok, I did not look at the pictures.
Much.
Why is it that the wrong people are always naked?
tutu silly - i like it!!
It's a running party...would love to watch from a balcony with a beer in my hand. That's the ONLY way I would be there! Have fun!
No way buddy. LOL. I'll sure look foreward to seeing the post race report though.
I think Cody should be wearing a pink Tutu at the Silverman!!! Anyway, the race sounds like fun pink just isn't my color! Now the Red Dress race here in ABQ might be fun, haha.
