planning time

Oy. I hate being ill.

I'm calling it a relapse. I was supposed to be un-sick for SoMa. My body made a deal with the cold, and I was not sick on race day.

As a result, I'm paying for it now.

The worst thing about being ill is knowing that a little endorphin rush would really help me feel a lot better - except for the fact that it would probably put me under for a few more days. I hate that.

I'm trying to get out of sulk mode and back into race planning mode - so I'm putting together my race schedule for next year. So far, it looks a whole lot like last year, with the exception of a marathon thing I'm trying to throw in there. My coach said Napa was a good marathon, I'm looking into it. I'm more inspired about doing a marathon now than anything - but it will take me some time to build up to.

Also.

After Bolder's post today, I've decided that the blogger athlete team's Bay to Breaker's Run will be an official fundraiser. ING usually does some kind of pledge drive thing associated with B to B, probably for Leukemia and Lymphoma, and that's what we're gonna do. Details will be forthcoming in January.

So, guys? If you were on the fence before, this will help. You will officially have an excuse to wear a tutu to run a 12K.

It's for charity.
(no it doesn't have to be pink)

Bummer about the cold - hope you feel better soon!

Maybe this could be the inaugural B to B Tutu Shake Your Money Maker for Cancer run.

Wow. The golden fleece of - my life. If you get this figured out, let me know.

Still want to do the tutu thing, badly. But I'm signed up for Ogden, I think. Maybe I could do that in a tutu, as a kind of nod?

Oh, I hope you feel better soon...feeling bad sucks :(

Hey, the Napa marathon is on my birthday!

Thanks for the link to Bolder's blog...that is something I would love to help with. I don't know you bloggers very well, so hope I'm not "intruding" but the tutu run sounds so fun. I'd like to do it, but if I can't because of family stuff, I will definitely donate to support the blogging team!!!

Running and raising money sounds like a plan, Stan. You can most likely count Moi in. Dibs on the lime green colored frock . . . I like 21st's title, too.

Hope you feel better. Being sick sucks, but at least maybe you have a couple days off work?

Ohhhh, so sorry you're sick. That sucks. Drink lots of fluids, snuggle up with the kitties and get better soon! Frankly, I'm impressed that you're using your sick time so productively. I would definitely be stuck in sulk mode.

bolds post was pretty cool.
I can't run naked. I have inner thigh clearance issues.
Sounds amazingly fun though. Not so much running with naked people but the run itself.

Hope you feel better.

Napa is a wonderful marathon - definitely worth the trip if you're looking for a nice getaway race.

Feel free to e-mail me if you want more info.

Was concerned about the Napa Marathon, until I saw the date--good time of year. Summer would be way too hot!

Hope you feel better soon.

Feel better right quick!

Tutus?? Sweet! maybe those of us who can't make the race could run in a tutu in any old race in absentia?
I would sew jingle bells to mine..... I may be slow, but I can make an entrance.

Get better soon!

And you don't need to ask me twice to wear a tutu while running a 12K!!
