T minus two days before my very first race. Let it be known that I have decided to have fun.
I have been instructed by The Jimmy to take it easy. In his terms, this means a 15 minute run and a 30 mile bike (to get the legs nice and sharp, he says). An easy workout.
The 15 minute run sucked. It's really hot out today, I was sweaty and I still have a little bit of a headcold I'm trying to shake off. Go away already, cold!
Then I met Dave and we went for the 30 minute low-intensity leg-sharpening bike ride. On the 1 hour (20 mi) bike ride that I actually took, I was stuck with the image of sticking my legs into a giant pencil sharpener to get them sharp. That's maybe not what he meant...
It was a good ride, really. Then I came home and ate my weight in cheese tortellini. I'm carbing up, OK?
I've been surfing around on the blog-o-sphere and it turns out there are a lot of really interesting, funny people just as crazy as I am! I'M NOT THE ONLY CRAZY!
