deep thoughts...

As I sit here shopping for yet another running bra to test-run (and reading Roman's post on his crappy IronWeenie watch), it just occurred to me:

Would I have to give up my running bra if I ever became an Ironman?

Why "Ironman"? and not "Iron Person"?

*Disclaimer: I neither endorse nor oppose the term ironman, ironwoman, iron person or Iron Weenie, and I'm not attempting to be the cattleprod of political correctness

finding a running bra is the worst. i have three that i bought six years ago - an old nike style they don't make anymore since they've "improved" it (improved is debatable). they used to be white but now they're gray after so many washings and wearings, but none of the new ones i have tried work as well!

nope, we'd just call you IRON PIRATE. that has a nice ring to it, doesn't it??

Ironman is just so easy to say (and it is 1 word, not 2). IronPirate sounds good. IronWoman is understood if you are a female Ironman. IronPerson is just awkward - I don't know why. No one who even attempts that distance is a Weenie so that's out. How about IronPeep? Sounds like a fuzzy little chicken so, no.

Beats me - I'm usually Ms. gender neutral feminist but somehow Ironman just seems right.

When it comes to sports bras I got nothin'. Most woman fave about Title IX but since you are the all knowing athletic wear fashionista I'm sure that comes as no news to you. Good luck!

my husband would never understand "iron pirate". He doesn't read my blog. he barely knows of its existance.

How about Iron Chica?

I was kind of disappointed when "Iron Girl" got taken since they don't do iron-distance races. Maybe we need to come up with our own logo. IronChick? IrynWomyn? IronSis? She-Iron? Warrior Goddess? Hmmmmm.
