sick sux

I did nothing this weekend.

I missed the ride with all my Iron friends.

I missed my 12 mile run.

I missed a ride with my friend Dave.

I missed a swim.

If I hadn't missed all those things, I'd be missing more things in the future.

Instead, I spent a day not training.

Then, I spent an entire day in bed.

Then I spent a day making up for spending a day in bed.

I feel OK today. I'm vertical again.

Tomorrow I get back on the bus.

Tomorrow is another day

There will be no self pity, damnit! You do what you have to do and sometimes what you have to do is rest. And when you don't have to rest any more you train.

Hokay now - are we done with our little pity party? Good! Next time you have to stay in bed try to enjoy it, okay??

Oh no! Feel better soon and don't forget that a couple of days of rest won't wipe out training built over a couple of months!

Vertical is good.

If pity loves company I bailed on the pool yesterday. (So much for getting back into the swim of things.) First off, felt bad. Secondly, packing bag realized all towels still damp in the dryer. D'oh!

Hang in there! I missed almost all my workouts for THREE WEEKS, and now that I'm back, I am feeling strong!! This too shall pass.

If only you knew the lengths of my horizontal-ness in bed this week, you'd either be disgusted at my sloth or feel better about yourself. If you're feeling icky there's nothing to be done but get between the sheets.

Ew! Not like that "get between the sheets." There are children reading.
